QUEER TRANS TWO-SPIRIT CULT SURVIVORS SUPPORT GROUP

About

Out of Line was founded by Micah Damsky and Mitchyll Mora, queer/trans cult survivors, who wanted to create a support space profoundly lacking in the queer community. Founded in October of 2025, Out of Line is New York City based and offers monthly in-person and online support group spaces for queer, trans and Two-Spirit survivors of cults and high demand groups.

Micah Damsky (he/him) is a second-generation cult survivor, raised in a bible-based cult from birth before leaving at age 16. He has worked in healthcare advocacy for the past five years and is certified in conflict mediation through the Social Justice Mediation Institute. Micah has significant group facilitation experience, including a twelve-step group, organizing meetings with a mutual aid group supporting trans asylum seekers, and food justice alternative education experiences. He lives in Kensington, Brooklyn.

Mitchyll Mora (she/they) is a 2nd gen cult survivor and community organizer based in New York City. She was raised in the deliverance ministry and a bible-based cult, leaving at age 15 and then spending two years in other affiliated cultic groups before fully breaking free at 17. Mitchyll is the co-founder and coordinator of the F2L Network, a community based initiative supporting Black, Indigenous, and other people of color who are queer, trans, and/or Two-Spirit and targeted by the criminal legal system in New York City.
